A journey to town costs €25 and takes 25 minutes.
Airport Bus :
The Tan Air shuttle bus picks up from outside Hall 2 and runs to Nantes South SNCF train station, Cité des Congress and the town centre. The journey takes 30 minutes. Tickets: €6.20.

Bar Brassiere Le Pilori
(1 Place Le Pilori. Tel. 02 4047 4505) A great little brassiere for lunch if you don’t want to stray too far from the shops. Sit and watch the world go by in Place du Pilori or relax in the upstairs restaurant.
Petit Bacchus
(5 Rue Beauregard. Tel. 02 4035 3117) Its shabby façade hides a bright, homely dining-room with a big fireplace. Delicious French cuisine.
Teo Restaurant
(21 Quai des Antilles. Tel. 02 4008 9028) Expect clean lines and clean tastes at this black-and-white themed restaurant offering contemporary cuisine. Floor-to-ceiling windows overlook the river.
L’Atlantide
(16 Quai Ernest Renaud. Tel. 02 4073 2323) Booking is essential if you want to enjoy a panoramic view of the river, while sampling the traditional cuisine of the Loire Valley and Breton Coast, such as turbot du croisic.

Shop
Need to pick up something special to take home? Passage Pommeraye is a fantastic piece of architecture right in the heart of the city. It houses a selection of boutique-style shops selling goods from around the world (entrance via Rue Crébillon).
Insider Tip
Hop on tramway line 1 to Beaujoire. This is the perfect time of year to visit the Parc Floral de La Beaujoire and see the huge collection of irises and roses in full bloom. Open daily 8.30am-5.30pm.
Key Area
Place du Commerce is a lively square full of cafés and bars. Stop off here to sit in the sunshine, enjoy the street entertainment and admire the beautiful flower arrangements at the daily Marché aux Fleurs.
