FROM THE AIRPORT
Car Hire :
 Take advantage of the special easyJet inflight rates. Visit the Europcar desk on arrival or call +33 (0)1 5566 8344 from 11am-3pm Monday-Friday and Sunday. If you have pre-booked and arrive out of normal office hours, you'll be met by a Europcar representative.
Airport Transfer :
 Pre-book your door-to-door transfer online with easyJet's transfer partner A-T-S from Grenoble airport to the city centre and all major destinations in the region.
Taxi :
 The fare from the airport to the city is about €70 during the week and €100 at night, on the weekend and public holidays. The journey takes 40 minutes (Tel. +33 (0)476 544 254).
Bus :
 A shuttle bus meets each flight and goes to the central bus station, next to the train station. It's a one-hour journey. Tickets: €3.80 (Tel. +33 (0)476 934 000).

Shop
Marche des Halles Sainte Claire is just a short stroll from the cafés of Place Notre Dame. This market is where locals do their grocery shopping, picking up fresh and homemade produce for their evening meals.

Place Grenette is a central meeting point if you're going shopping with friends or for a stroll. Stop to eat a one of the restaurants all around the square.

The 36th edition of the Grenoble Jazz Festival, a showcase for new and established European jazz, takes place from 11-30 March at various venues in town (www.jazzgrenoble.com).
Day Tripping
Chamrousse
 – This ski station is loved by locals. With more than 80 kilometres of runs, Chamrousse is ideal for enjoying winter sports without having to spend too much dosh. Catch a bus up into the mountains and spend a memorable day on the slopes.

Grenoble is surrounded by the impressive Chartreuse, Vercors and Belladona mountain areas—yet, at about 215 metres altitude, it is the flattest city in France!
