Insider Tip
Visitors who learn a few words of Greek will find their efforts are much appreciated. Even if it's just, ‘ya-sas’ (hello), ‘dee ganetay’ (how are you?) or ‘efharisto’ (thanks), give it a go with a smile.
Key Area
One of the oldest parts of Paphos, Mousalla boasts fine colonial houses in varying states of repair, but an architect’s dream nonetheless. Two key museums, a park dedicated to love and a trendy café make this an ideal spot to spend a few hours.
This month
Anthestiria is the ancient celebration dedicated to the arrival of spring, fertility and the goddess Aphrodite. A magnificent floral parade heads through the town towards Paphos harbour on 25 May.
